In fact, its applications and implications inside organizations will ultimately be much more significant than the external applications that dominate most social media discussions today.

Services and Fees

Our Human Capital Management services are customized for each client depending on their starting point, goals and objectives, and the availability and skill levels of both internal and external resources. We typically provide informal advice and counsel services on an ad hoc basis, either on the phone, in person, or via email, video or online meeting. The agenda is usually defined by the client, based on the issues and questions that are most pressing to them. Advisory sessions can be conducted with individual leaders, leadership teams, and/or divisions and work groups.

We can also provide more formal support, through both strategic planning facilitation and specific project work in which we work either independently or as part of a client-defined team.

Fees for informal support are usually specified in terms of monthly retainers for ongoing advice and counsel. Hourly rate arrangements can also be made. Fees for formal support are usually specified as half-day or daily rates for strategy planning sessions, or as fixed rates based on the scope and complexity of a project. Travel reimbursement is expected for out-of-town engagements; however, most services can be provided remotely.

These services can be provided independently or in conjunction with other services.

Digital Era Risk Management

As technology continues to advance and become more integrated into our personal and work lives, it is increasingly important for organizations to develop sound approaches to Digital Era risk management. The need to thoughtfully examine and revise existing policies, procedures, and contracts to reflect the potential risks presented by new social and digital technologies is critical. There is no “one size fits all” solution, and simply adding a set of social media guidelines to existing policies is not enough.

Although it isn’t glamorous, Digital Era risk management is a key part of a leader’s fiduciary responsibility. It shouldn’t take a crisis to realize the value of investing in prevention.

Given the risks associated with social and digital technologies, and the need for education, we recommend and provide training programs for both individual contributors and managers to help each group of employees understand how the new technologies work, as well as their rights and responsibilities with respect to digital communication. We can deliver the material ourselves and can also provide “train the trainer” sessions and materials.
